    From codependency to courage

    To my fellow recovering codependents. You’re not alone. ❤️ The path from codependent to confident is a wild growth journey. It’s beautiful and hard and all kinds of WTF along the way. For many of us it requires a level of healing we’re unprepared for. We get catapulted into our journey and are faced with the choice of sinking or swimming.     Personal what?

    In 8th grade the quote next to my name in my yearbook says “Do what you say. Say what you mean.”   Even as a young girl I have held a strong value around taking personal responsibility for myself. It may have taken me some twists and turns to decide on something but once I did, I went for it. I didn’t always live into that value, though. Losing myself to sexual abuse, then codependency and on top of that a failed marriage definitely did a number on my self-worth and my ability to say anything.  I lost my voice, so to speak (pun intended).   But that value of…

    Be a peach!

    Ignore those who can’t see the possibilities you see and surround yourself with people who cheer you on at every step of your journey.  There will be naysayers and haters. There will be quitters and those who get jealous of the actions you’re willing to take that they simply are not. It’s not personal and NONE of it matters. The ONLY thing that matters is that YOU do what is best for you.
